Fabrication of a Support Frame for the Vacuum Truck Industry

We are proud to provide a full range of custom fabrication solutions at Fabri-Tech. Our manufacturing expertise was exemplified when a customer in the vacuum truck industry contracted us to manufacture the support frame highlighted here. This frame was to be used on vacuum trucks to support the vacuum arm. First, the customer’s specifications were rendered in a 2D CAD drawing. Our facility features cutting edge equipment, including a 250 ton Accurpress, which can accommodate large workpieces such as this. We used top quality materials, including ¼” thick HRPO steel plates measuring 60” by 144” and 60” by 96”. We also used 10” by 2” grade 5 heavy hex bolts. The plate steel was formed with our press brake, and then plasma cut and welded. We then assembled and deburred the frame, with final overall dimensions measuring 120” in length, 12” in width, and 95.25” in height. Quality was ensured by thorough dimensional and visual inspection. We constructed 20 of these support frames and delivered them to our client in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a turnaround time of just 4 weeks.
